Overview of today’s trading day:

Major stock indices around the world experienced mostly green, with each index in the Americas and Europe closing in the green. Gold, Silver, and Platinum also experienced gains alongside both Brent and Crude oil. Crypto took a slight hit, with each of the three included within ending in the red by roughly one percent each.

Indices in the Americas saw gains today, with five out of five ending in the green come market close. Leading today was the NASDAQ (+2.08%) with over a two percent increase, followed by the S&P 500 (+1.65%) and the Dow (+1.52%), both of which increased by over one and a half percent. The weakest performance out of this group today was by the S&P/TSX (+0.73%), which still managed to gain roughly three quarters of a percent.

In Europe, five out of five indices ended in the green today, with the Euro Stoxx (+1.37%) leading the gains with a one point three seven percent increase. Followed closely behind was the DAX (+1.34%) at one point three four and then the FTSE (+1.08%) at just over one percent. The weakest performance from this group today was by the SMI (+0.32%), at point three two percent.

As for the APAC group, five out of six indices ended in the green come market close, with the exception being the SSE (-0.51%) at just over a half percent loss. Leading the gains from this group was the Sensex (+2.06%), at over a two percent gain. Next was the Nikkei (+0.79%) and the KOSPI (+0.46%) with both gaining less than one percent. The Hang Seng (+0.05%) experienced the smallest gain at just point zero five percent today. However, a gain is a gain and is certainly better than a loss.

Gold (+0.33%), Silver (0.77%), and Platinum (+5.04%) each saw gains today, with Platinum increasing the most by just over five percent. As for oil, Brent (+3.75%) and Crude (+5.16%) each saw significant increases, with Brent going up three point seven five percent while Crude five point one six. This brought oil prices to approximately $36 and $33 per barrel respectively.

On the crypto front, each of the three cryptos included within experienced decreases, with Bitcoin (-1.17%) falling the most by over one percent. Ethereum (-0.94%) and Ripple (-0.98%) also experienced similar drops, with both losing nearly one percent in the last 24 hours.
