Overview of today’s trading day:

Major stock indices around the world mostly experienced gains, with each index in the Americas and Europe group ending in the green. As for the APAC group, only one ended in the green. Commodities including Gold and Platinum fell while Silver and oils increased. On the crypto front, each of the three cryptos within remained quite stable relative to their price 24 hours ago, with only Bitcoin logging a price slightly higher.

Americas

In the Americas group, each of the five indices within managed to end in the green. The Bovespa (+1.56%) led with over a one and a half percent gain, followed by the Dow (+1.18%) with a gain of over one percent and the S&P 500 (+1.14%) also at over one percent. The weakest performance from this group today was by the S&P/TSX (+1.02%), which still managed to gain over one percent come market close.

Europe

In the Europe group, five out of five indices ended in the green, marking a day of gains all across the board. Leading was the CAC (+0.97%) at just shy of a one percent gain. Next, the Euro Stoxx (+0.71%) and DAX (+0.69%) both managed to gain well above half a percent. The weakest performance seen from this group today was by the FTSE (+0.38%), which still managed to gain over a third of a percent.

APAC

Over in the APAC group, only one index managed to end in the green, with the SSE (+0.30%) gaining over a quarter percent. The next-best performance was seen by the Sensex (-0.08%), which ended in the red by just below a tenth of a percent. The worst performance was experienced by the S&P/ASX (-2.48%) with a loss of nearly two and a half percent. The next worst was experienced by the KOSPI (-2.25%), which also managed to lose over two percent come market close.

Brent (+2.75%) and Crude (+2.63%) both experienced gains over two and a half percent. This left per barrel prices at around $41 for Brent and $39 for Crude.

Cryptocurrency

As for crypto, each of the three within logged similar prices compared to the last 24 hours, with only Bitcoin (+0.14%) changing significantly by over a tenth of a percent. This resulted in a price change of $13 bringing the price down to $9286. Ethereum’s price remains around $234 while Ripples also around $0.183.
