Overview of today’s trading day:

Major stock indices mostly ended in the green today, with all indices in the Americas and half in the APAC group experiencing gains. Indices in the Europe group mostly ended in the red. As for metals, Gold and Silver are up so far while Platinum is in the red. Both Brent and Crude oil are in the green too. Lastly, each of the three cryptocurrencies included within are significantly in the green.

Americas

In the Americas group, five out of five indices ended in the green today. Leading the gains was the NASDAQ (+1.35%) and Bovespa (+1.35%), with both gaining over one and a quarter percent. Next up was the S&P 500 (+1.25%) and the S&P/TSX (+1.15%), with the former gaining one and a quarter percent while the latter less than one and a quarter percent. The worst performance today was seen by the Dow (+0.62%), which still managed to gain over half a percent today.

Europe

In the Europe group, three out of five indices ended in the red today. Leading the losses was both the Euro Stoxx (-0.1%) and the DAX (-0.1%), with the two losing a tenth of a percent come market close. The best performing index from this group was the CAC (+0.6%) with a gain over half a percent, followed by the FTSE (+0.04%) which managed to inch into the green.

In the APAC group, half of the indices ended in the red while the other half in the green. Leading the gains was the SSE (+2.06%), which experienced a gain of over two percent. Next up was the Hang Seng (+0.45%) and KOSPI (+0.27%), with both indices gaining under half a percent. The worst performing index from this group today was the Nikkei (-1.15%), which fell over one percent today.

As for oil, Brent (+2.08%) is up over two percent while Crude (+0.56%) by over half a percent. This has brought per barrel prices to approximately $44.12 for Brent and $41.27 for Crude.

Cryptocurrency

On the crypto front, each of the three included within are in the green so far. Ripple (+5.25%) is up the most at over five percent with a price of roughly $0.2425. Next, Bitcoin (+2.71%) is in the green by over two and a half percent, resulting in the price rising to around $11,204. Lastly, Ethereum (+1.51%) is in the green by over one and a half percent, with the price of ETH now around $321.
