Overview of today’s trading day:

Major stock indices all ended in the red today with the exception of one, the Bovespa, in the Americas group. Both Gold and Platinum are in the green so far while Silver is barely in the red. As for oil, Brent has not experienced a significant change so far while Crude is in the green. Lastly, Bitcoin and Ripple are so far in the red while Ethereum is in the green today.

Americas

In the Americas group, four out of five indices ended in the red come market close. The biggest hit was taken by the NASDAQ (-0.94%), which fell just under one percent. Next was the Dow (-0.69%) with a loss of over half a percent followed by the S&P 500 (-0.61%) which also fell over half a percent. The best performing index from this group today was the Bovespa (+0.07%), which ended in the green by less than a tenth of a percent.

The best performance from this group today was seen by the FTSE (-1.41%), which fell just under one and a half percent today.

Up next was the Hang Seng (-2.21%) and S&P/ASX (-1.16%), with the former losing over two percent and the latter over one percent. The best performance from this group today was seen by the Sensex (-0.03%), which barely ended in the red come market close.

On the crypto front, Ethereum (+2.85%) is up so far by over two and a half percent with a price of $283.18. Ripple (-1.63%) is in the red by over one and a half percent, resulting in the price falling to $0.2051. Lastly, Bitcoin (-0.17%) is also in the red by over a tenth of a percent, with the price dipping down to around $9583.
