Overview of today’s trading day:

Stock indices ended in both the red and the green. Most indices in the Americas group and the APAC group ended in the green, while all indices in the Europe group ended in the red. Metals including Gold, Silver and Platinum are all in the red so far while oil is mostly in the red. Crypto is so far in the green, with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple in the green.

Americas

In the Americas group, four out of five indices ended in the green today. The Bovespa (+1.2%) led the gains with over a one percent gain. Up next was the Dow (+0.29%) at over a quarter percent followed by the S&P 500 (+0.19%) at less than a quarter percent. The worst performing index from this group was the S&P 500 (+0.19%), which gained less than a quarter percent.

In the Europe group, five out of five indices ended in the red today. Leading the losses was the SMI (-0.75%), with a drop of three quarters of a percent. Up next was the FTSE (-0.61%) at over half a percent followed by the DAX (-0.48%) at less than half a percent. The best performance from this group today was seen by the CAC (-0.26%), which fell over a quarter percent come market close.

APAC

In the APAC group, four out of six indices ended in the green. The SSE (+1.6%) led the gains with over a one and a half percent increase. This was followed by the Sensex (+0.9%) and the Hang Seng (+0.56%), with the former gaining roughly one percent while the latter over half a percent. The worst performance from this group today was seen by the Nikkei (-1.41%), which fell just under one and a half percent.

Brent (+1.49%) and Crude (-0.21%) are mostly up with Brent at roughly one and a half percent in the green while Crude is roughly a quarter in the red.

Cryptocurrency

As for crypto, each of the three included within are so far in the green, with Ethereum (+3.11%) gaining over three percent. Next, Ripple (+2.41%) gained roughly two and a half percent. Lastly, Ethereum (+3.11%) gained over three percent, with the price of ETH rising to around $379.
