Overview of today’s trading day:

Major stock indices around the world mostly ended in the green today, with most indices in the Americas and Europe group experiencing gains while half in the APAC group increased. Metals including Gold, Silver and Platinum are in the red so far. Brent and Crude oil are both in the green today, while crypto is mostly in the green today as well.

Americas

In the Americas group, four out of five indices ended in the green today. The NASDAQ (+2.13%) led with an increase of over two percent. This was followed by the S&P 500 (+1.37%) and Dow (+1.04%) with both gaining over one percent. The worst performance from this group, and the only one ending in the red today, was the Bovespa (-0.34%), which fell less than half a percent come market close.

Europe

In the Europe group, five out of five indices ended in the green today. Leading the gains was the FTSE (+2.04%), which increased over two percent. Next up was the SMI (+1.24%) with a gain over one percent followed by the Euro Stoxx (+0.93%) at just under one percent. The weakest performance from this group today was by the DAX (+0.86%), which still managed to gain close to one percent.

Next was the KOSPI (+0.57%) at over half a percent followed by the Nikkei (+0.41%) at just under half a percent. The worst performance from this group today was by the SSE (-0.63%), which fell over half a percent come market close.

Brent (+1.89%) and Crude (+2.33%) are both in the green, with the former up over one and a half percent while the latter over two percent. Per barrel prices are at around $45.34 for Brent and $42.58 for Crude.

On the crypto front, Ethereum (+2.17%) is leading with a gain of over two percent so far, resulting in the price of ETH increasing to around $387. Next, Bitcoin (+1.53%) is up over one and a half percent with a price of around $11,564. Lastly, Ripple (-0.63%) is in the red so far with a loss of over half a percent, resulting in XRP dropping to around $0.2812.
