Prince Albert II


Prince Albert II of Monaco has tested positive for COVID-19, making him the first reigning monarch or head of state to publicly announce a diagnosis for the coronavirus-caused respiratory disease.

“His Serene Highness urges the people of Monaco to respect the measures of confinement and to limit contact with others to a minimum,”

the palace’s statement.

The prince is being treated by specialists from Princess Grace Hospital, named after his famous mother, formerly known as Grace Kelly.
