NASA's Psyche spacecraft is on an ambitious path to revolutionize space exploration by reaching out to a metallic asteroid. As distance increased between Earth and the probe, expectations were that this rate would drop significantly down to around one Mbps; however, April's tests saw maximum download speeds hit an astonishingly resilient 25 Mbps—transmitting actual telemetry rather than pre-fed data—for the first time ever on record.
