The Jury Donald Trump's hush money trial delivered guilty verdicts on all 34 felony counts.

"The guilty verdict in Donald Trump's hush money trial is a critical juncture in American history," said Ken Kollman, professor of political science and director of the Center for Political Studies at the Institute for Social Research. "This event marks him as a convicted felon, which will inevitably impact his campaign to regain the presidency."

Kollman further explained that while this development might embolden Trump's supporters and loyalists, it would also give ammunition to his opponents. "The Trump campaign and its media allies will undoubtedly attempt to frame this outcome as evidence of a rigged or corrupt system," said Kollman. "However, the fact remains that he has been found guilty by a court of law – an indisputable truth that may sway voters who are conflicted between choosing between him and other candidates."

Vincent Hutchings, another esteemed professor of political science at Michigan University shared similar sentiments. He expressed concern over how Republican primary voters were willing to overlook these charges against their candidate.

"It's troubling because this shocking outcome was not unforeseen," Hutchings stated. "We've known for some time now that the former president was facing serious charges across multiple jurisdictions." The fact that many chose to ignore or downplay these allegations is what troubles him most about this situation.

Barbara McQuade, former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan and current Professor from practice of law at UMICH emphasized on how this case underscores one fundamental principle - no individual can be above law.

"This verdict serves as proof that even those with significant power must adhere to our country's legal regulations," she noted. She went on to highlight how despite defense attempts focusing on Michael Cohen’s involvement; it was essentially documents serving as compelling evidence leading towards conviction.

"Documents make strong cases because they don't forget details nor do they lie,” added McQuade stressing upon objectivity inherent in such pieces of evidence.

Professor Emeritus Michael Traugott, an expert in political science and communication studies, also spoke about the verdict's significance. He heralded it as a testament to the efficacy of the U.S legal system.

"This decision is a vindication of our legal system and rule of law," he asserted. "It demonstrates that no one in the United States - regardless of their status or power - can escape justice if they break the law."

The experts from University of Michigan are available for further comments on this matter through their respective contacts provided above.

In conclusion, while Trump’s guilty verdict might have shocked many; according to these experts from UMICH, it was not entirely unexpected. It serves as a stark reminder that even those at highest echelons are subject to same judicial scrutiny and consequences when found guilty under law – thereby reinforcing faith in American justice system.
