The Institute of Collective Health, Federal University of Bahia, Salvador 40170-110, Brazil, is a leading institution in the field of epidemiology and infectious diseases. It particularly focuses on virology and has notably contributed to advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). This disease is a significant global health concern that presents numerous challenges to effective diagnosis and treatment.
This special issue aims at addressing these challenges by focusing on innovative approaches for diagnosing MDR-TB, exploring novel treatment regimens, researching predictive models for its spread, and examining the impact institutional collaboration can have on combating this disease. As such, it welcomes submissions from researchers conducting original research or clinical trials related to these areas.
Institutional collaboration plays an essential role in advancing our understanding of MDR-TB. By fostering an environment where knowledge exchange happens freely between diverse perspectives and expertise areas within institutions like ours, we can facilitate advancements in managing this disease more effectively than ever before.
We encourage scholars who are developing new diagnostic tools or evaluating unique treatments to submit their findings. Additionally, reviews providing comprehensive insights into current situations regarding MDR-TB are also welcome, as they may help guide future research directions.
Manuscripts should be submitted via our online platform following the registration process with www.mdpi.com. Once registered authors will be able to access submission forms where they can upload their work until the announced deadline date passes; all accepted papers will then get published continuously in journals (as soon as approved), which will later appear together under a special issue website section dedicated solely to them, showcasing the impressive range and breadth depth involved within each individual study conducted so far across the globe dealing specifically against MDR-TB outbreak scenarios faced globally today!
Our rigorous single-blind peer-review process ensures that all manuscripts submitted are thoroughly evaluated for quality standards before publication. The Article Processing Charge (APC) associated with publishing open-access articles is 2700 CHF (Swiss Francs). It is crucial that submitted papers are well-formatted and written in proper English. MDPI's English editing service can be availed of by authors during the revision process to ensure they meet these standards.
