PETALING JAYA: Shell Commercial Fuels, the global leader in fuel solutions and services, has recently launched its innovative formulation of Shell FuelSave Diesel. This advanced formula is designed with superior cleaning properties to assist customers across various sectors, such as transport, construction, mining, and agriculture, by enhancing their fuel economy by 3.75% while also facilitating power recovery.

Shell Malaysia's Managing Director, Shairan Huzani Husain, underlined the company's commitment to minimizing environmental impact from industrial operations. He stated that their aim lies in reducing total ownership costs for businesses that rely heavily on sophisticated diesel-engine technology for growth and profitability.

"Businesses have been compelled to adapt quickly due to escalating costs, changing supply chains, and new working paradigms," said Husain. "Furthermore, technologies are continually evolving, making engine maintenance increasingly critical while simultaneously rendering fuel choice an important consideration."

Despite these challenges, innovation in diesel fuels maintains its relevance. Shell remains committed to utilizing technology optimally so customers can extract maximum value from their vehicles. The newly introduced Shell FuelSave Diesel boasts a distinctive triple-action formula, providing a more thorough clean-up.

This novel formulation cleans up both internal diesel injector deposits as well as those on fuel injector nozzles after just one tank fill-up, resulting in enhanced vehicle reliability through the protection of exhaust gas recirculation systems from deposit accumulation.

By ensuring cleaner injectors over time (a keep-clean effect), this new formulation helps companies avoid unexpected breakdowns or replacements, which could be quite expensive, potentially costing around RM 8,500 per single injector replacement.

"The past few years have been incredibly challenging for our clients," acknowledged Voo Ket Chung, who serves as the Country Business Manager for Shell Commercial Fuels Malaysia.

He further elaborated that they had faced numerous hurdles, including rising expenses, adjusting to newer work methods, and meeting stricter emission targets, among others, all within an environment where engine technologies were advancing rapidly. This meant that fuel choices became a crucial factor for operators as they navigated the current market demands.

The launch of Shell FuelSave Diesel's new formulation is a testament to Shell’s commitment to assisting businesses in overcoming these challenges and improving their operational efficiency. By reducing costs, enhancing vehicle performance, and mitigating environmental impacts, this innovative product offering highlights the company’s dedication to driving progress within Malaysia's transport, construction, mining, and agriculture sectors while also promoting sustainability.

Shell Commercial Fuels’ latest move underscores its vision for future-ready solutions that are not only economically viable but environmentally responsible too, thereby positioning it at the forefront of technological innovation within the fuel industry.
