Pepsi®, a global giant in the beverage industry, has officially introduced its new logo and visual identity to Nigeria. This marks a significant evolution for the brand, reflecting its commitment to innovation, creativity, and continued cultural relevance.

To commemorate this launch on Monday, June 3, 2024 (TBD), Pepsi® staged an impressive digital spectacle that transformed two of Nigeria's most recognizable landmarks: the National Theatre in Lagos and the Abuja City Gate. Utilizing stunning digital animation techniques, these iconic locations were used as a canvas to bring Pepsi’s fresh identity to life.

Marius Vorster, Marketing Director, PepsiCo West East Central Africa (WECA), stated: "This brand refresh signifies more than just a simple logo update; it heralds a new era for Pepsi®." He emphasized how by transforming iconic landmarks into virtual experiences, they are reaffirming their dedication not only towards innovation but also deepening cultural connections with consumers.

Norden Thurston, Chief Marketing Officer of Seven-Up Bottling Company, elaborated further by stating that this visual identity refresh comes at an important time for Pepsi®. The updated look draws inspiration from Pepsi®'s past while adding modern elements that create a contemporary appeal unique to the brand itself. It introduces electric blue and black colors along with the signature 'Pepsi pulse', representing rhythm intrinsic to music culture connected deeply with youth today.

Segun Ogunleye, GM Marketing at Seven-Up Bottling Company, explained how the revamped logo aims at enhancing brand distinction while driving a stronger connection with Nigerian consumers by leveraging national symbols like the National Theatre in Lagos and Abuja City Gate.

Over its rich history of 125 years filled with constant reinvention coupled with timeless quality products catering refreshing experiences every single time, Naija's number one choice cola drink is present ubiquitously across people's lives nationwide.

The updated design encapsulates various key elements, such as a refreshed color palette introducing electric blue and black to bring contrast and vibrancy, a modern custom typeface reflecting the brand's confidence and unapologetic mindset, and a signature Pepsi pulse highlighting the rhythm and energy of music, which is an integral part of the Pepsi legacy.
